CIDC works to support and enhance existing events and marketing efforts throught Coney Island. Among CIDC's marketing projects are the production and display of street banners throughout the district that highlight the area’s key landmarks and institutions.

CIDC also co-sponsors and participates in such events as the Annual Beach Opening, the Mermaid Parade and the Brooklyn Cyclones’ Coney Island Day. In an effort to draw more people to these and many other exciting events in Coney Island, CIDC also maintains the new Coney Island Fun Guide website, which provides a comprehensive listing of Coney Island events.
