Connecting the parks, beach and amusement area, the Riegelmann Boardwalk has been a key part of the Coney Island experience since its construction over 85 years ago.

Time and elements have taken their toll on the Boardwalk, and it is in need of significant repair and reconstruction. The City is now initiating a pre-design study which will identify best practices, compare concession models, survey existing conditions and ultimately lay the groundwork for a redesigned boardwalk that will survive the community for at least another 85 years.
