The event will take place at Liberation Diploma High School at Our Lady of Solace Church, located at 2865 West 19th Street between Mermaid and Neptune Avenues, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Fair is free and is being hosted by CIDC, Astella Development Corp., Jewish Community Council of Greater Coney Island, the NYC Housing Authority and Urban Neighborhood Services, Inc.
“Wednesday’s Training Program Fair is yet another component in the ongoing, comprehensive career opportunities initiative the CIDC has undertaken in Coney Island,” said CIDC President, Lynn Kelly. “We began with workshops on resume writing and job search techniques back in the spring, hosted an incredibly successful job fair at Keyspan Park in August, and are now looking forward to providing Coney Island residents with career development information in a wide range of fields.”
Career advisors and representatives from professional training and certification programs will be on-hand to offer information about opportunities in a variety of fields, including computer technology, bookkeeping, paralegal studies, food service, commercial driving, pharmacy technician, and many, many more.
