Coney Island Career Opportunities Fair

Over 400 jobseekers met with 35 employers and 15 training program providers from a variety of career fields at Coney Island's first ever large-scale career fair on Friday, August 1 at Keyspan Park.
Employers received over 100 resumes as they spoke with attendees, over 60% of who were residents of Coney Island and surrounding neighborhoods.
Many participants shared positive comments with CIDC during and after the fair. Among this affirming feedback, one jobseeker had these remarks to share about her experience:
"I really appreciated the many companies that showed up. It was good to see many variations in job opportunities that had participated in the 'event'. I received a lot of resourceful information and great giveaways. This Career Fair was so worth me coming out and beneficial to me and others. Thank you for a great event and you should be proud of its success."
