Notice of Public Scoping

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT, pursuant to Section 5-07(b) of the Rules of Procedure of the New York City Charter, a public scoping meeting will be held Tuesday, June 24, 2008, 6pm, at Lincoln High School, 2800 Ocean Parkway, Brooklyn, NY, as submitted by the New York City Economic Development Corporation on behalf of the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Economic Development, to hear comments from the public regarding the proposed scope of work for the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the Coney Island Rezoning. The rezoning area extends over an approximately 47-acre area of the Coney Island peninsula, and is generally bounded to the east by West 8th Street, to the west by West 24th Street, to the north by Mermaid Avenue, and to the south by the Riegelmann Boardwalk. The purpose of the scoping meeting is to provide the public with the opportunity to comment on the scope of analysis proposed to be included in the DEIS for the referenced project. A copy of the draft scoping document for the project may be obtained by any member of the public from:

Written comments will be accepted through 5:00 P.M. on Friday July 11, 2008 and may be submitted at the public scoping meeting or sent to Rachel Belsky at the above address.
