Lynn Kelly is currently a Senior Vice President for Development at the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), a non-profit corporation serving New York City. In that capacity, she oversees the implementation of the City’s Strategic Plan for Coney Island and the management and allocation of $111M in capital funding associated with the implementation plan.
Ms. Kelly also serves as President of Coney Island Development Corporation (CIDC), a non-profit corporation dedicated to making Coney Island a year-round, world-class recreational oceanfront destination through business development, job creation, new housing and unique cultural events. In this role, she is responsible for the general management and day-to-day activities of CIDC which includes administration of a $400,000 operational budget and associated staff.
Ms. Kelly first joined NYCEDC in 2001. She managed a portfolio of over 20 strategic planning, commercial development projects and land sales in Brooklyn and Staten Island of more than $50 million.
Earlier, Ms. Kelly spent five years as Deputy Director to the Art Commission of the City of New York, a mayoral design review agency responsible for reviewing and approving all works of art, architecture and landscape architecture in New York City. She also held a position in Government and Community Relations at the Brooklyn Museum of Art.
Ms. Kelly is a native New Yorker that is proud to call Brooklyn home. She holds a Masters of Public Administration from New York University’s Wagner School of Public Service and a Bachelor of Arts in Metropolitan Studies, from New York University’s College of Arts and Science.
